I am a senior at Geumsan Gandhi School, which is renowned for its alternative education programme. I have also studied at Bayside High School for one year. After taking classes on the environment, I was inspired to establish an environmental student group JAGA, at my school. I am currently the chairperson of the student council at my school.

The vision for my project comes from the idea that "small changes are big changes.” It is very important for young people from an early age to become aware of and take action on environment issues. Our goal is to boost students’ environmental sensibility so that young people can develop eco-friendly habits.

Our project is a grassroots campaign targeted towards high school students. Our campaign involves promoting eco-actions such as: “my- cup” action; garbage separation actions; recycling and upcycling actions; production of environment-friendly soaps; and the promotion of environment education through discussions and the screening of environment films. We will develop the programme within our school and extend to other schools to build an extensive eco-habit network.

What I want to achieve from the E-idea competition is to develop my skills as a mentor for my project. I value the support provided by E-idea to overcome the challenges that I face in implementing my project.
